ABOUT KRISTINA

I’m fascinated with fashion and believe true style is knowing who you are. I’m a proud mom and dedicated to causes that enrich the lives of others. I strive to not be a creature of habit… Knowing and embracing that the future will always be different and always challenge me.

Kristina McCoobery co-founded INVNT in 2008 – at the height of the great recession – with the aim of shaking up the live event industry with a new kind of agency model, attitude, agency culture and results driven approach to live brand storytelling™.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater from Rutgers University and had a successful career in theater where she performed and directed on and off Broadway.

Kristina has over 20 years of event industry experience and became an Executive Producer in the late 1990’s. She excelled at her craft and currently oversees the award-winning agency’s operations. She continues to play an integral role in manging some of INVNT’s largest accounts, including SHRM, Merck, SC Johnson, Facebook, and Subway.

An active mentor who is passionate about ensuring young event industry professionals are equipped with the tools and resources they need to excel, Kristina heads up INVNT’s own LEAN IN CIRCLE, an initiative that is designed to support and nurture the careers of INVNT’s female employees.

Kristina is a recipient of the Gold STEVIE for Female Entrepreneur of the Year. The award honors women who have affected positive change in their company and industry. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives and employees in the workplace. She has also been recognized by New York SmartCEO as one of their Brava! Awards winners for her leadership in business and philanthropy efforts.

Kristina also serves on the Benefit Committee for the New York Women’s Foundation, a cross-cultural alliance of women catalyzing partnerships and leveraging human and financial capital to achieve sustained economic security and justice for women and girls.

Kristina is regularly called up to share her expertize and insight with marketing and business media, with recent contributions being published in Entrepreneur, Inc., The Drum, PCMA and Event Industry News to name a few.
